Josh Kennedy

Josh Kennedy is a fierce competitor in the pool, and a valuable member of the UNB REDS swim team. He hails from Alberta and was initially hesitant to attend school so far from home, but after seeing an ad on YouTube showcasing the beautiful UNB campus and learning about the swim team, he knew it was the right choice for him. He reached out to coach Marta and was immediately impressed by her enthusiasm and willingness to welcome him to the team. This, coupled with the fact that UNB has a strong engineering program, sealed the deal for Josh.

In his free time, Josh enjoys listening to music and watching TV shows. His pump-up song for meets is "Hips Don't Lie" by Shakira, and his favourite part about swimming meets is sharing a room with teammate Eric Jean. He also has a unique hobby of keeping pit vipers as pets, and has named his favourite pair Bethany. Josh's hidden talent is the ability to clap with one hand and he is a huge fan of the TV show "The Boys" and the movie "Space Jam". Josh is a dedicated athlete and student, and continues to make a positive impact on the UNB REDS swim team.
